3-D PopArt

Alrighty gang. Your prayers are answered.
On the web, and, for that matter, in printed media, 3-D is all the rage. No question about it. There is 3-D this and 3-D that. Everything has to have d-e-p-t-h. But how do you make it happen?
Hive-Before   It can be a long, tedious, process. You take your flat artwork (like the example on the right) and break it up into many, many parts. You import each of those parts into a traditional 3-D program, position them just so, and then add depth. That works. It really does, and it takes tons and tons of time.
Well, we wanted a bee hive with bees buzzing around. We discovered this nice piece of clipart, but it sure looks flat – probably because it is.
We tried dressing it up with a couple of colors in CorelDraw!, which was easy to do; but it still looked flat. Because, of course, it was flat.
Then along came Vertigo's 3-D PopArt!
3-D PopArt is designed to do just what we needed: to simply and easily convert flat drawings into 3-D. It works as a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator.
So what did we do? We exported the flat graphic from CorelDraw! in an Adobe Illustrator format (.ai extension). We ran 3-D PopArt. And we got . . . Hive-After
This is beyond nifty. This is fabulous. And this took no time at all.
3-D PopArt does not just make things in 3-D, but allows you to designate the depth, the angles on all three axes, and it lets you set up lighting as well. And, if you're not happy with the wayu things are going, all you have to do is convert back to a flat image. Needless to say, there is no comparison between these two images.
While the original artwork here is a simple example, we found 3-D PopArt worked just as well and just as easily with much more complicated graphics. Indeed, 3-D PopArt is simply sensational.
And your art will never have to be flat again!
