Adobe Image Styler

Well, there are a lot of applications out that which let you create graphics for the web, but we must say that Adobe Image Styler is, indeed, one of the most all-encompassing and, certainly, the most elegant.
ImageStyler   There are some excellent innovations in this program, the best of which is the fact that everything stays "live" during the entire editing process. Thus, if you wish to go back and change anthing, it can be changed – it is not embeded in stone. You can do anything at any time to any object. What an excellent feature.
It is fast, which gives you a ton of time to play with what you want. The image at the left came, essentially, out of the box, in that we only spent a minute or so manipulating the effects and so on which were available in Image Styler. Result: a nice graphic which took (I kid you not) about one minute to produce, optimize and save.
You could have – even more simply! – made this image consistant in that all the elemments had the same attributes. We choose not to do that here because we wanted to show a variety.
You can also create your own styles, and use pictures, for all of these elements. And while Image Styler gives you a wealth of shapes to work with, you can also create your own. Indeed, ImageStyler-2the depth of the graphic elements is rather amazing.
If this were all that Image Styler did, it would be worth the price. But Image Styler also creates roolover effects and image maps so quickly and easily that you can use them in any web page without investing tons of time in the creation process.
While image maps are fairly straightforward, rollovers are not. You create them in Image Styler simply by selecting a function (from an Adobe-style interface) while the item to which you want to apply the rollover is selected. You then merely change the attributes of the rollover effect – the style, color, shape, bevel, you name it – and that's it! No kidding.
Image Styler also lets you create web pages. The program will export a complete page layout. All you have to do is send it to your web host. This can, of course, save hours of time rather than creating graphics and then placing them on web pages. For more sophisticated web layour applications such as Net Objects Fusion, you can place these pages using external pages or tagging HTML to a (blank) object.
But the feature which impressed me the most was something new: Batch HTML Replacement. You can redefine the "standard" HTML tags to be whatever style you want. Image Styler then goes through your document and replaces such things as "H1" with whatever style you assigned to H1. I was super-impressed with this capability. You will be too.
It should be added that Image Styler provides a live preview of its optimization feature, so you see what the effect of reducing size or colors will be. Very nice.
And, finally, you can import objects, graphics and the like in most any popular format or from a scanner or digital camera. Because you're using an Adobe-style interface, you can bring in a .TIF and send out a .GIF. You don't have to convert beforehand.
Here is a big round of applause for Adobe Image Styler. Its features have features and you will use them all to create some of the coolest web pages you ever saw.

Linke to the Adobe web site.
