Everyone hates to back up. Few do it. Including me. Until I met Backup Plus.
   You would think someone who has been involved with computers as long as I have, and has seen his share of system and hard disk crashes both at home and at the office, would be doing backups as religiously as a nun attends mass. Not so. Just a pain.
   First of all, very few people sit down at the computer with time on their hands. There is always something to do, be it a review to write or a game to play. Second, let's face it, most of us are just not disciplined.
   Backup Plus takes these two factors out of the picture more elegantly than anything we've seen. Take an hour, just an hour, to define backups you need and go ahead and play that game whenever you want. But if disaster strikes one day, you'll be able to quickly and easily restore all your files again. No problem.
   That's worth an hour even to an undisciplined sort such as myself.
   The key to all this is Backup Plus' Backup Wizard, which helps you create backup sets. That, plus the fact that Backup Plus can back up to off-line media like CD, ZIP and JAZ drives, as well as on line such as a different partition of your hard disk. It does not do tape backups. I have always found those to be less than reliable.
   And all you do is tell Backup Plus when you want this to happen. Hourly (you really must be compulsive), daily, weekly or whatever. Then, with a great Timed Backup Manager, Backup Plus does it for you. Viola! You have backups.
   As an added bonus, Backup Plus will also back up your registry and your system files. No you don't have to know what they are. As a bonus, that function will also create a Windows "Rescue" disk. And a nice feature, your system backup makes its own DOS batch file, in case you cannot get Windows to start.
   Backup Plus makes backups easy to use and easy to manage. The last time my home computer crashed, it took two weeks to get things back together. Now I have Backup Plus. It  won't happen again.
