Compass

I was telling a friend of mine that I really needed a easy but comprehensive web site program, one that I could categorize sites, easily capture URLs and even print out information.
He said he was looking for the same thing and we both commented on the state of the art – that there did Compassnot seem to be a really good program of this sort out there, anywhere.
There must be a witch out there someplace, since it was less than a day later that I received an email from one of the many people who visit our site each day. She recommended Compass by Daniel Liu.
Truth be it known, it is almost as if Daniel had been listening to my friend and me. He has produced a truly fine program which I can and do use every day.
It adds bells and whistles, too. It will print out lists and it also allows exports of its contents to bookmark files, assuming you would really want to use them when you have Compass handy.
How does it work? As simple as pie. You get to a URL you want to save and you open Compass and click on a big green "plus" sign. Your new URL is in a list immediately. You can also edit its name (or description if you prefer) if you want to do so.
What you see above is a "bookmark-style" list, but Compass, being so comprehensive, has an alphabetical list as well. Both appear on the screen at the same time, you can use either one. Clicking on a URL in either list, of course, sends the address to your browser, which then loads the page.
You can move URLs around, i,port them into particular areas to begin with and several other things. The colors of the individual locations tell you how long it has been since they were accessed.
This is a very complete program which, in my opinion, is the best aid to keeping track of URLs I have found.

Send email to Daniel Liu for order information.
