We don't usually review free software here, but Gator is special. Gator is a system tray utility which pops up when a web page asks for a password or wants you to fill in information about yourself (we won't get into that discussion). But face it, it is a pain in the
patooie to keep typing in your name, email address and other stuff all the time. Gator does this for you. But that is not all and, honestly, it is not the most important timesaver Gator offers.
Get to a web site access page which asks for a user name and password. Before you can scratch your head and wonder just what the heck you used to access that site, Gator is on screen suggesting you
merely have to click on a button and your problem is solved. You can also change information, use more than one user name and password with the same site (if
you have multiple logins) and, if you want, give Gator all of your credit card information. Remember, this information stays on your computer – it is not stored on the net in any way.
When logging into a site for you, Gator keeps your passwords hidden. And you don't have to do any retyping, even when you set up an account. Gator captures the info for you – if you want it to.
A very nice program.
